If you know me, then you know I love Bart Starr. Greatest quarterback in Green Bay Packers history.
Although Aaron Rodgers may have something to say about that and probably already does.
Bart, always a Packer, has embraced his successors over the years. Loved Brett Favre. Loves Aaron Rodgers. Both guys that have and do elevate the Packers. And that’s what it seems Bart Starr wants. He is the quintessential Packer.
I will not argue about this.
As many of you probably know, Bart is not in good health. He’s had a stroke. He’s had stem-cell therapy in Mexico. He can hardly talk.
And yet, he wanted to deliver a message to Aaron Rodgers on the eve of the Packers’ 100th season.
Rodgers cited the toughness he learned from Brett Favre for coming back into that game on Sunday after hurting his knee. But I don’t know, man. Didn’t he go out and win that motherfucker for Bart Starr?
