You know how we feel about excuses. LOOOOOOOOVE THEM!
That’s what Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams AKA Dropvante was looking for after dropping two easily catchable passes against the Chicago Bears.
The culprit, according to Dropvante, were the gloves he was wearing.
“I shredded those things since they didn’t do their job,” Adams said. “That’s what it was. It wasn’t me; it was the gloves.”
There was an element of joking in there thankfully.
Adams readily admitted he played like butt on Sunday and he obviously wasn’t happy about it.
Fortunately, drops haven’t plagued Adams, other than against the Bears, this season like they did last season. Adams has just five in 2016.
He also has 65 catches for 922 yards and nine touchdowns. All of those are career highs. He’s averaging 14.2 yards per reception, which is a vast improvement over the 9.7 he averaged in 2015.
