Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got an opportunity to do a Lambeau Leap after scoring a rare rushing touchdown with under a minute left in the second quarter on Saturday. He took full advantage of it, getting up into the corner of the end zone.
After the game, he mentioned the leap and what it was like when he got up there. Specifically, the smell.
“It’s been a long time since I got a Lambeau Leap,” Rodgers said. “And in the back of my mind I was thinking this is going to be on the highlight tape next week so make sure you get all the way up there.
“So I went to the Jordy Nelson school of Lambeau Leaps and was able to get up there and the fans were great.”
“They smelled a little bit like booze, which was great.”
Of course they did. It was Christmas Eve, you’re at the Packers game with your family and you are most definitely tying one on in the parking lot prior to the game!
Rodgers is lucky he didn’t get a beer spilled on him like so many Packers who have leapt into the stands before.
I think everyone is a little boozy with the Packers’ recent success.
