Backup quarterback Matt Flynn is an easy choice. He came in during the season and kept the Packers in the playoff race. However, we never take the easy choice. We’ve got to go with our boy and fellow ex-con Johnny Jolly. Jolly finished the season on injured reserve, but he was the heart and soul of the team when he was on the field. The Packers have a dearth of vocal leaders and Jolly provided them with at least one. He brought enthusiasm and fire to a team that rarely seems to have those characteristics. Then there was his halftime speech when the Packers were getting pounded in Dallas that set the tone for saving the season. Without Johnny Jolly, we’d be willing to bet we’d have been writing this post after week 17.
