Jun 29th

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished fourth in EPSN’s top NFL players power rankings. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady easily took top honors with six first-place votes and 78 total points. The Indianapolis Colts’ Peyton Manning was second, followed by the New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees.

Rodgers Shafted In Quarterback Rankings
Apr 26th

Predictable? Yes. Correct? Not even close. The New England Patriots’ Tom Brady finished first in ESPN’s quarterback power rankings. While it’s hard to argue with the reigning NFL MVP and a three-time Super Bowl champion taking the top spot, it’s pretty easy to argue with the other two guys who finished ahead of the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers
Where Are They Now? Packers’ Draft Busts: 2000-2010
Apr 5th

The Green Bay Packers have had their share of draft busts over the years. Some have been epic (Tony Mandarich), while others have snuck out of town almost unnoticed (Terrence Murphy). Well, thankfully we’re here to dredge up your past failures, point our gnarled, crooked, judgmental fingers at you and cackle. For you’ve shamed the [...]
Packers’ Five-Year Draft Run Best In NFL
Apr 4th

The Green Bay Packers have the best draft run over the past five years, according to Matt Maiocco of Comcast Sportsnet. The team still has 57 percent of the players they’ve chosen on their roster (27 out of 47) — only five teams have more. The rankings also consider how many star players, busts and how [...]
How Many Tight Ends Are Better Than Jermichael Finley?
Mar 30th

Nine, according to ESPN. ESPN released their tight end power rankings this week and Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley finished 10th. The Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Witten and the San Diego Chargers’ Antonio Gates were far and away the No. 1 and 2 tight ends in the rankings. While Finley’s ranking isn’t all that [...]

Packers Fans Aren’t Most Loyal In NFL
Mar 22nd

Horseshit! That’s the first thing that came to mind when I heard this. Green Bay Packers fans are ranked as the fourth-most loyal fans in the NFL in the latest Brand Keys Sports Loyalty Index. In order, New England Patriots fans, Pittsburgh Steelers fans and Indianapolis Colts fans are considered more loyal than Packers fans. New York Jets fans came in fifth.
Packers At Bottom Of Special Teams Rankings Again
Feb 14th

The Green Bay Packers are near the bottom of the Dallas Morning News’ annual special teams rankings for the third year in a row. They finished 29th, up two spots from last season. The 2008 team finished 26th and special teams coach Mike Stock was forced into retirement after that performance. The rankings are compiled [...]
It’s Time Aaron Rodgers Entered The MVP Conversation
Nov 30th

It would be a lot easier to make this argument if the Green Bay Packers had beaten the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but it’s nonetheless time Aaron Rodgers entered the MVP conversation. Rodgers has been nothing short of spectacular over the Packers’ last three games. In fact, he’s carried a Packers offense that has little-to-no [...]
Packers Offense Could Join A Select Few
Sep 12th

The Green Bay Packers offense looks like a juggernaut going into the 2010 season. The possibilities of this season got me thinking about some of the greatest individual seasons by teammates in NFL history. The Packers had two 1,000-yard receivers, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 4,000-yard passer in 2009. Those numbers came courtesy of Greg [...]
Observations From Packers 59-24 Victory Over Colts
Aug 26th
The Green Bay Packers offense is potent, we knew that, but in their longest outing of the preseason against last year’s AFC champs, they put any doubts to rest. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who I have a hard time believing isn’t on his way to becoming the best player in the NFL, cut up the Colts [...]
The Thing About Preseason Predictions
Jul 1st

Is they don’t mean anything. Sure, the Green Bay Packers are the preseason darling of many — the fashionable Super Bowl choice, if you will. What does that get the Packers? High expectations. Granted, there’s no reason this year’s version of the Packers shouldn’t have high expectations entering the season, but it’s July 1. No [...]
Mandarich Could Move Down List Of All-Time Busts
Apr 28th

When talk turns to the biggest busts of all time in the NFL Draft, the name Tony Mandarich always comes up. The Green Bay Packers drafted Mandarich second overall in the 1989 draft, choosing him ahead of such all-time greats as Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas and Deion Sanders. While those three guys went on to [...]
Remember the Name Rodger Saffold
Apr 22nd

As the NFL Draft approaches, one name that appears to be rising up draft boards is that of Indiana left tackle Rodger Saffold. Saffold, who was a four-year starter at Indiana, seems to be benefiting from what many predict will be a run on tackles in the first round. Saffold is 6-4, 316 and Peter [...]

The Green Bay Packers’ 2010 preseason schedule has been released and it is highlighted by a nationally televised contest with the defending AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts. Specific dates and times have not been announced, with the exception of the Colts’ game, but the Packers’ preseason schedule shapes up as follows. Aug. 12-16 – Cleveland Browns [...]
