McCarthy’s Deal Worth More Than $6 Million Per Season
Mar 7th

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy formally signed the contract extension we all knew he was getting, last week.
Initially, the deal was said to be worth $5 million per season, which would have put McCarthy behind Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith as the second-highest paid coach in the NFC North. That number is a little off, apparently.
Jones, Jackson Were Tendered
Mar 7th

Despite initial reports to the contrary, the Green Bay Packers did tender potential restricted free agents James Jones and Brandon Jackson, last week.
Both Jones and Jackson have four years of service. Under the rules of the 2010 collective bargaining agreement, they would be restricted free agents. Under the rules of the previous agreement, they would be unrestricted, which is probably what they’ll be when a new labor deal is signed this year.
Would The Real Jay Cutler Please Stand Up?
Mar 6th

I’m not clever enough to write an entire article referencing Eminem’s popular song in witty sorts of ways, nor would I want any of you to think I’m a fan of his. So, the analogies cease here and onto the real question: does anyone else find it hilarious that Jay Cutler’s namesake is this meathead? [...]
Packers Did Not Tender Jackson, Jones Or Bigby
Mar 5th

When the Green Bay Packers were handing out what’s largely expected to be meaningless tenders to guys who have little-to-no chance of being restricted free agents when a new labor deal is reached, they also snubbed a few guys. Receiver James Jones, running back Brandon Jackson and safety Atari Bigby, all of whom would [...]
A.J. Hawk Will Sign New Deal Today
Mar 3rd

A day after he was released, linebacker A.J. Hawk and the Green Bay Packers have the parameters of a new contract in place.
Hawk will reportedly sign the deal tonight before 11 p.m. CT, when either free agency or a lockout will begin. The 27-year-old will get a five-year deal.
Financial terms have not yet been released.
Brandon Underwood: No Contest Plea In Prostitution Case
Mar 3rd

The case involving Green Bay Packers defensive back Brandon Underwood has finally been resolved.
Underwood pleaded no contest to one count of prostitution after being accused of sexual assault by two gold-digging whores, last June. He appeared in Sauk County Circuit Court Wednesday, was found guilty and fined $379.
A.J. Hawk, Two Others Get The Ax
Mar 2nd

The Green Bay Packers released linebacker A.J. Hawk, safety Derrick Martin and tight end Donald Lee, Wednesday.
Hawk’s release doesn’t come as a big surprise, considering the Packers had no intention of paying his $10 million salary, which would have been guaranteed on the first day of the league year.
Goodbye, Atari Bigby
Mar 2nd

Buried at the bottom of an article in which Bob McGinn tries his best to create a not-enough-balls controversy amongst the Green Bay Packers receivers was this nugget: safety Atari Bigby won’t be back.
No, no one’s said those exact words. No, it isn’t a surprise the Packers would choose younger players to replace an oft-injured veteran who’s about to hit free agency.
Get It Straight: Jay Cutler Is Awesome!
Feb 28th

Another day, another jerkoff defending Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. This time it’s Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Martz is here to remind us Cutler is tough and tell us he’s going to be an elite quarterback. You know, the same Jay Cutler that decided not to play the second half of the NFC Championship [...]
Flynn Won’t Be Traded, For Now
Feb 28th

Matt Flynn, the Green Bay Packers backup quarterback, has become a hot commodity since he started his first game in December. Flynn’s name has been tossed around as potential trade bait since then, but Packers general manager Ted Thompson doesn’t have any intention of moving him. “People are trying to get ahead of themselves, saying [...]
Kato Kaelin’s Life Is Good Since The Packers Won The Super Bowl
Feb 26th
You remember Kato Kaelin, right? That’s right — the guy who lived in O.J.’s guest house. Kaelin is also from Milwaukee and went to UWEC, so, of course, he’s a fan of the Green Bay Packers. Kaelin was on a show no guy can possibly watch, this week — The View. I mean, really. How [...]
My Man Aaron Rodgers In Hollywood With His Girl Jessica
Feb 26th
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a bad man. He wins Super Bowls, he vanquishes the memories of legends and he dates hot broads. Case in point, Gossip Girl star and Wisconsin native Jessica Szohr, who we first told you about in December. Well, our man ARod was in Hollywood at the Sunset Tower [...]
