Clay Matthews III
The ESPYs, ESPN’s concocted sports award show, is on par with the Xbiz Awards as far as I’m concerned. Oh, you don’t know what the Xbiz Awards are? Well, they’re the wannabe AVN Awards, which is essentially the Oscars of porn. So I guess that would make the Xbiz Awards the Golden Globes of porn. […]
I was going to run this earlier, but EPSN didn’t give us embed codes when these were released. Thankfully, they’ve remedied that situation. Here’s Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews’ ESPYs commercial, which also features Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love and host Seth Myers.
We’ve been hemming and hawing about the Green Bay Packers not organizing workouts during the lockout, but we have nothing to worry about when it comes to one player — linebacker Clay Matthews. Last week we got a chance to check out Matthews’ workouts first hand.
Prior to the 2009 NFL Draft, there were a lot of whispers the Green Bay Packers were interested in outside linebacker Larry English of Northern Illinois. Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks suggested the Packers were considering English with the No. 9 overall selection. Meanwhile, the Press Gazette’s Pete Dougherty spoke at length about English’s potential during […]
After last week’s edition of ESPN’s NFL power rankings, top helmets in the NFL, I half expected this week’s edition to focus on best colors. Of course, they went and pulled something somewhat relevant out — top 10 defensive players. Clay Matthews was the only member of the Green Bay Packers to make the top 10, finishing fifth. Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu was the consensus No. 1.
Seven Green Bay Packers made CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco’s top 100 NFL players of 2011 list. The top-ranked Packer should come as no surprise. QB Aaron Rodgers came in at No. 6 overall — behind Texans wideout Andre Johnson, Raiders cornerback Nmandi Asomugha, Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware and (puke) quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton […]
It’s another installment of ESPN’s NFL power rankings. This time — linebackers. The Green Bay Packers’ Clay Matthews came in fourth in the rankings. The San Francisco 49ers’ Patrick Willis was the runaway leader in the voting. Willis was followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ James Harrison and the Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware, who were separated […]
Muscle Milk is running an ad campaign with Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews and Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun. The spots are somewhat creepy, but in a funny way. The host of the “It’s the You, Your Awesome Body and You Show” in these faux-interviews is way out there and Matthews and Braun look appropriately weirded out.
A couple Green Bay Packers are getting a little good-natured ribbing in on Twitter.
Linebacker Clay Matthews accused quarterback Aaron Rodgers of going Hollywood, after the Rodgers was spotted with Black Swan star Mila Kunis at a party in Hollywood.
I don’t think anyone can argue that Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is one of the best defensive players in the league.
He’s one of the NFL’s top pass rushers, he can completely disrupt opposing offenses and he has to be game planned for. That being said, he’s not the greatest run-stuffing linebacker, even on his own team.
If you’re like me you probably gave two shits about the Grammy Awards and didn’t watch them.
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews was one of the presenters and got to say about two words when he and Glee’s Lea Michele introduced Lady Antebellum’s performance.
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews was making the rounds last week.
In addition to appearing on The Tonight Show and WWE Smackdown, Matthews also stopped by the Ellen Degeneres Show.
In case you missed it, here’s Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Wednesday night.
Yeah, I know smack down is two words, but we’re talking about the WWE version here. That’s right. Professional wrestling. WWE Smackdown. I can’t say I know much about professional wrestling or the WWE these days. I come from a day when professional wrestlers were men — when the Macho Man dropped the elbow from […]
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award by two votes over Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, but Polamalu says he doesn’t deserve the award. After he won the award, Polamalu turned to Twitter with these words. Thanks for the congrats. @jharrison9292 @ClayMatthews52 Ed Reed Julius Peppers way […]
Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews finished second to Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year vote. The award, voted on by the Associated Press, is the NFL’s official award. Early reports from Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Bob Glauber of Newsday and your own Green Bay […]
