Just when you thought Aaron Rodgers couldn’t get any better, he puts on a performance like he did Sunday that just blows your mind. Two rushing touchdowns. Four TD passes. More than 400 yards passing and, yes, one interception but that was more bad luck on his part than a bad decision. In short, [...]

The New Orleans Saints just couldn’t keep up with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL season opener Thursday. Clay Matthews & Co. stuffed rookie running back Mark Ingram at the goal line on the last play of the game to pull out the win 42-34. Packers rookie Randall Cobb impressed early, catching a touchdown [...]

In yet another showing of just how much the Minnesota Vikings suck, defensive end Ray Edwards told the media this week he’d rather be a boxer than play for the team next season. Edwards made his professional boxing debut Friday night and thinks he has a better future in the ring than on the field. Really, we’re talking about the Minnesota Vikings here, so who could blame him.

It was destined to fail, and it looks like opponents of the latest Vikings stadium proposal have found a way to fuck things up again. A new group, NoVikingsTax.com, says it’s discovered a loophole that would let voters decide whether a new stadium should be built with public money — no matter what the Legislature or Ramsey County do.

Awkward silence, anyone? The 2011 NFL lockout may be in full swing, but that didn’t stop Green Bay Packers players and brass from spending five days on a bus together this week for the annual Packers Tailgate Tour across Upper Michigan and Wisconsin. According to The Associated Press, coach Mike McCarthy, general manager Ted Thompson and several other staff members saw the bus off Tuesday.

Yeah, that’s right. Some blogger in Wisconsin named Deke Rivers thinks the NFL and Green Bay Packers aren’t family-friendly and don’t respect Christmas because the Packers will be the first team in NFL history to play on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day this coming season. Deke says Christmas and other holidays are about [...]

Seven Green Bay Packers made CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco’s top 100 NFL players of 2011 list. The top-ranked Packer should come as no surprise. QB Aaron Rodgers came in at No. 6 overall — behind Texans wideout Andre Johnson, Raiders cornerback Nmandi Asomugha, Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware and (puke) quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton [...]

Another new way to fund a Vikings stadium is revealed. As if we weren’t already sick of the back-and-forth over a new Vikings stadium, another new bill was introduced in the state Legislature on Friday to fund the plan and get it off the cutting room floor. The already controversial plan to raise as [...]

In a fitting end to a season marked by adversity, the Green Bay Packers overcame another spate of injuries to key players and outlasted the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 to win Super Bowl XLV and bring the Lombardi trophy home. It was an amazing game from the start. The Packers dominated the first half, scoring two [...]

In case you didn’t know it already, Brett Favre is a walking contradiction. Hours after filing his retirement papers with the NFL, Old Man Favre is already trying to make amends with the Green Bay Packers, telling ESPN’s Ed Werder in an e-mail he thinks Aaron Rodgers is the league’s best quarterback and the Packers’ [...]

It came down to the wire again, but Tramon Williams came up big and the Packers held on to beat Philadelphia 21-16 in a game highlighted by missed field goals and the sudden appearance of a Green Bay running game. Michael Vick nearly led the Eagles back, marching his team down the field in less [...]

Another week, another scandal involving Rex Ryan and the New York Jets. According to ESPN, Ryan said the matter was [...]

Can someone send an S.O.S. to Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and his staff? A telegraph of sorts on behalf of the grizzled grandpa himself, Brett Favre? Something like this: Leslie, Your old-ass quarterback has done broked himself again. Really bad, this time. He can’t think straight, and that robotic arm you implanted in him [...]

Matt Flynn is my new favorite Packer. The third-year quarterback more than held his own in his first start on the road against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Sunday night. He dominated the first half, not making a mistake until a pick-six early in the second half that was wideout James Jones’ fault, [...]

A bipartisan group of state lawmakers on Monday unveiled the long-awaited bill that could free the Minnesota Vikings from the hell that is the Metrodome. I nearly spit out my coffee this morning when I read this article from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, questioning whether Ben Roethlisberger’s recent asinine behavior could have stemmed from too many knocks to the head. People who suffer repeated head injuries often exhibit signs of aggression, childishness, impaired self-control, inappropriate sexual activity and alcohol abuse, according [...]

The Minnesota Vikings are getting aggressive in their crusade for a new stadium. Team owner Zygi Wilf met privately Thursday with state lawmakers at St. Paul’s posh University Club to discuss possible stadium bills, while Jared Allen spent that evening being, well, Jared Allen. The defensive end/attention whore/douche bag has become something of a poster [...]

Things are going from bad to worse for scumbag Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. On Friday, ABC News reported a third woman has told police that Roethlisberger sexually accosted her while drunk, according to a police report. The new accusation comes as the National Football League considers disciplinary actions against the two-time Super Bowl champion. [...]
