A lot of people seem to think the Green Bay Packers have a hole to fill on their defensive line, with defensive end Cullen Jenkins expected to depart in free agency and Johnny Jolly making stupid decisions somewhere in Houston. Football Outsiders named defensive line as the team’s biggest post-draft hole and several experts suggested it was the Packers’ biggest need going into the draft.

We’ll be honest. We thought it would be a cold day in hell or a warm day in Green Bay, before the newest Lingerie Football League franchise, the Green Bay Chill, trotted out anything interesting. I mean, Wisconsin isn’t exactly known for its ample supply of beautiful women (those who read this blog regularly being [...]

We figure most politicians are humorless pricks, but apparently even they get the Jay Cutler joke. That is, that Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is a joke. It started on Monday when Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, a Republican from Janesville, opened his speech at the Economic Forum in Chicago with these words.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t so sure he and his teammates are going to be getting together for team workouts anytime soon. While several teams around the NFL have pulled together some sort of team-oriented workouts, the Packers haven’t and don’t seem in any hurry to do so. In fact, linebacker A.J. Hawk essentially said he doesn’t see the point.

Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings is one of the best in the game, but he’s getting his motivation from someone who’s a little better — Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is a five-time Pro Bowler and one of the hardest workers in the NFL. Jennings, who has four fewer Pro Bowl selections, began working out with Fitzgerald in Arizona this week, under former NFL receivers coach Jerry Sullivan.

Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn may eventually end up playing for another team, but he sounds content to stay in Green Bay at the moment. Flynn’s name consistently comes up in trade rumors and has since he got his first NFL start in week 15 of the 2010 season and threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns

Cornerback Al Harris may not have finished his career or the 2010 season with the Green Bay Packers, but Harris will always be a Green Bay Packer in our estimation. The organization apparently agrees. Even though the team cut Harris after he came off the physically unable to perform list, he’ll still get a Super Bowl ring.

The Chicago Bears aren’t the only team aiming to sign Green Bay Packers defensive end Cullen Jenkins. The Washington Redskins are reportedly interested as well. Jenkins will be a free agent when the NFL’s offseason finally begins. The Packers have expressed no interest in re-signing the veteran, even though he’s coming off a season where he recorded a career-high seven sacks.

The NFL Draft changes the face of every team’s roster and the Green Bay Packers are no exception, even though they’re the reigning Super Bowl champs. Several veterans will go into training camp to fight for a roster spot, while others will simply be let go during free agency. Here’s a look at which players [...]
