If there’s one thing we know about Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson, it’s that he loves his fullbacks. Even though the Packers use more four- and five-wide receiver sets than anyone in the NFL, a time the fullback isn’t typically on the field, the Packers have carried three fullbacks on their roster since they drafted Quinn Johnson in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

The NFL’s lockout is over, at least temporarily, after U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson granted the players a preliminary injunction Monday. The ruling is a victory for the players, who claimed the lockout was hurting their careers. The NFL filed an appeal in the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis. The plaintiffs […]

By now, you know the story of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ experience at the NFL Draft. Rodgers was under consideration for the No. 1 overall pick. The San Francisco 49ers ended up choosing Utah quarterback Alex Smith. Jon Gruden and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers passed on Rodgers several picks later.

Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson thinks everyone trying to figure out who the team will choose in the NFL Draft is an idiot. Thompson told Peter King he doesn’t think analysts know what they’re talking about. “There’s a lot of interest in the draft. It’s great. But quite frankly, most of the people […]

Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly will get probation after pleading guilty to his 2008 drug possession charge as part of a plea deal. Jolly was accused of possessing more than 200 grams of codeine, which is used in the popular drink purple drank, a combination of cough syrup, Jolly Ranchers and soda. A […]

Both of the Green Bay Packers starting cornerbacks, Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams, made ESPN’s cornerback power rankings list. Woodson finished third and Williams finished seventh. Not surprisingly, the top two in the rankings were the New York Jets’ Darrelle Revis and the Oakland Raiders’ Nnamdi Asomugha, who received all the first and second place votes.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not be on the next Madden cover. Rodgers lost in his matchup with Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hills. He lost 59 to 41 percent. Apparently, some Packers fans voted for Hillis because they were afraid of the Madden curse, even though Rodgers said last week he didn’t […]

I more or less thought it was a foregone conclusion that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be on the cover of the new Madden game. If you recall, EA Sports and ESPN are running a tournament where people can vote for the player featured on the cover. It’s currently down to four players […]

We all kind of scratched our collective heads when the Green Bay Packers drafted tight end Andrew Quarless in last year’s draft. The team seemed stocked at the position at the time, with Jermichael Finley, Donald Lee and Spencer Havner. The Packers ended up cutting Havner, Lee didn’t perform and Finley got hurt, so it […]
And here it is. The second part of the Jenn Sterger interview from Good Morning America. Today, we find out Jenn is still daddy’s little girl and people are assholes. The more I hear her talk, the less I believe she’s a victim.
Well, we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We’re assuming there will be a preseason, which is no certainty considering the current lack of a labor deal. If there are four meaningless games in 2011, here’s what you get to look forward to as a Green Bay Packers fan. Some of the exact dates are TBD. @ […]

It’s another installment of ESPN’s NFL power rankings. This time — linebackers. The Green Bay Packers’ Clay Matthews came in fourth in the rankings. The San Francisco 49ers’ Patrick Willis was the runaway leader in the voting. Willis was followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ James Harrison and the Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware, who were separated […]
