This is straight-up disgusting.
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who pulled out of the Pro Bowl because of an illness, was hospitalized last week with that illness.
It was an intestinal virus that was contagious, which would explain why he couldn’t travel.
In general terms, that’s probably the stomach flu, but I’m not a doctor. People don’t usually get hospitalized with the stomach flu.
Although McCarthy stayed in Green Bay, his staff travelled to coach in the game. Assistant head coach/linebackers coach Winston Moss was in charge of Team Irvin.
All of the Packers players ended up on Team Rice.
