[tps_title]2. Oakland Raiders[/tps_title]
Many would select this venerable favorite as the best in the league, and not without good reason. Silver and black is instantly foreboding. The Raiders logo crest featuring the Raider with the eye patch and vintage football helmet is another iconic symbol recognized by hundreds of millions. While the Raiders are in the midst of a decades long slump, a drought whose genesis likely stems from the bad juju of the infamous Tuck Rule Game, the Raiders’ legacy as one of the premiere powerhouses in the heady days of the 1970s and 80s will forever live on, in no small part because of the perfect design and color scheme of the Raiders. Truly a beautiful design and look that is instantly recognizable across the globe, and a design that proves that the apotheosis of football uniform design occurred in the 1960s. It is no coincidence that the Raiders have often been mimicked, but never equaled, from the Los Angeles Kings to the Brooklyn Nets, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There have been many imitations, but only one authentic original — and that is the uniform donned by the Raiders.
