[tps_title]DeMarco Murray (RB, Cowboys)[/tps_title]
1,427 yards rushing, 343 yards receiving, 8 rushing TDs, 5.0 ypc
Murray is first in the league in rushing by almost 400 yards. He has an impressive 5 yards per carry. He’s rushed for at least 100 yards in 10 of 12 games so far this season. In the other two, Murray had 73 and 79. Murray’s biggest problem is he plays running back. Only three running backs have won the MVP in the last 10 years — Adrian Peterson, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shaun Alexander.
All of those guys had at least 1,800 yards rushing. Murray could hit that number with a strong finish. However, touchdowns also count. Peterson “only” had 12 touchdowns during his MVP campaign, but he had over 2,000 yards. In fact, he had the second-best rushing season in NFL history in terms of yardage. Neither Tomlinson or Alexander hit 2,000, but Tomlinson had 28 f-ing touchdowns and Alexander had 27 when they won their MVPs. Murray isn’t getting close to those numbers.
