We told you how Magic Johnson went on a Twitter rant about how great Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is, comparing him to Larry Bird.
Magic mentioned how Rodgers makes everyone around him better, like Bird, among other things. In essence, if Aaron Rodgers were standing around with his cock hanging out, Magic would have been slobbering all over it.
His praise was similar to that.
And who doesn’t like a vigorous knob polishing?
“To be compared to Larry, who I know Magic has the utmost amount of respect for, is way too big of a compliment,” Rodgers said Tuesday on his radio show. “And I really appreciate that from Magic. I have a ton of respect for him and his career and what he’s done, and the philanthropic things he’s done off the court, as well.”
“Larry, like the nickname suggests, is a legend,” Rodgers said. “The comparison really is very humbling for me.”
Naturally, any talk of anything remotely related to basketball has to eventually veer towards a mid-range jumper reference, when Rodgers is involved. So, not to disappoint, Rodgers worked Vlade Divac into the conversation.
“The only one that could possibly compare would be maybe if he had said something about Vlade Divac,” Rodgers said. “But I’ll take Larry Bird.”
And that’s how you do it, folks!
