Randall Cobb: boss

The Green Bay Packers lost receivers James Jones and Randall Cobb to knee injuries on Sunday. Neither guy returned to the game.

Although there’s been no word from the Packers, two sources have said the injuries are not serious.

Adam Schefter is saying Cobb will be okay.

Early reports on Cobb’s knee are “good,” a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

“He’ll be OK,” the source said.

While that’s fairly vague, Jay Glazer says neither injury is expected to be season ending.

After the game, coach Mike McCarthy didn’t have much to say about either injury.

“We’ll find out tomorrow,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “I’m hopeful with Randall for good information tomorrow once we get him back. James Jones, I’m hoping for good information there, too.

“I really don’t have anything. We don’t have a full diagnosis on either one of those guys.”

So now we wait.

With both Jones and Cobb out, the Packers were down to just Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin at receiver. We’d expect them to sign someone at the position this week.

Because our training staff and doctors are ALWAYS to be trusted. I fucking guarantee one of these guys is gone for the year after the MRI’s. Someone call Tori Gurley!

Speaking of injuries, Desmond Bishop out for the year with a torn ACL. There’s a big “I told you so”

YOU GUYS. Come on. This is the Packers. We don’t get good news on injuries. Ever. The universe would fold in on itself.

MRIs result on tuesday will reveal the following: “Jones out for the season. Cobb’s knee damage so significant that it actually sent shockwaves through the turf and ruptured the hamstrings of Ryan Picket, Morgan Burnett and Jermichael Finley who are all out for the season. Randall Cobb expired from his injuries shortly after the MRI.”
