Aaron Rodgers vs. Washington

Not surprisingly, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFC offensive player of the week for his performance against the Washington Redskins.

In the game, Rodgers tied the Packers single-game passing mark with 480 yards. He was 34-of-42 with four touchdowns and a 146 QB rating in the Packers 38-20 win. In the first half, Rodgers piled up 335 yards and after halftime the game was so out of control, the Packers went away from the pass (at least by their standards).

In other words, if the Redskins were worth a shit, Rodgers’ day could have been a lot more impressive.

Through the first two games, Rodgers is 55-of-79 for 813 yards, 7 TDs and 1 interception, with a rating of 127.2. Does anyone else smell another MVP coming?

If he keeps up this pace, he’s got a great shot.

This is the eighth time Rodgers has been named player of the week.
