Ray Rhodes (1999) 8-8, .500
What can you say about Ray Rhodes other than… mediocrity? Rhodes was a Mike Holmgren disciple and had a couple 10-6 seasons in Philadelphia before bottoming out there, going 6-9-1 and 3-13 in 1997 and 1998, respectively. So when he got canned, the Packers obviously thought they’d bring some of that Holmgren magic back to Green Bay. The Walrus had just left for Seattle and general manager Ron Wolf loved Rhodes so much, he didn’t even interview anyone else for the job. He quickly relized that was a mistake and replaced Rhodes with Mike Sherman after one season.
