Phil Bengtson (1968-70) 20-21-1, .488
If there was ever a guy in a no-win situation, it was Phil Bengtson. Because how do you replace Vince Lombardi? For most Packers fans, Bengtson will be remembered as the Packers defensive coordinator under Lombardi — a role he excelled at (and is in the Packers Hall of Fame for). As Lombardi’s hand-picked successor, Bengston didn’t fare so well. Bengtson’s approach was notably laid back, the roster he inherited was past its prime and the best he could deliver for a fan base that wanted championships was an 8-6 season in 1969.
