His name is Todd Sutton. He’s the guy who questioned whether Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers really believed his buddy Ryan Braun was clean on Twitter.
Rodgers replied with “I’d put my salary next year on it.”
And now we all know Ryan Braun wasn’t clean. And Aaron Rodgers isn’t talking. Todd Sutton is, though.
“I’d just take a game check,” Sutton told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday, laughing.
“I’m not really expecting to hear from him. It’d be cool, but I doubt it’s going to happen,” Sutton said.
Yeah, we doubt it too. A game check would cost Rodgers $281,250. It’s pretty amazing that this guy makes that much in one week. More than I make in an entire fucking year. Seems fair.
Rodgers also seems to have a history of welching on bets when he loses. There was that incident with the dude from Boyz II Men where Rodgers was supposed to wear a 49ers shirt if the Packers lost to San Francisco. We never saw Rodgers in a 49ers shirt.
Anyway, Sutton said he found Rodgers’ response to his question about Braun, who Rodgers is a partner with in two Milwaukee restaurants, to be arrogant. We would tend to agree.
“He was probably trying to embarrass me on Twitter, but it has kind of reversed now,” Sutton said.
Who’s laughing now, right? Bud Selig and Todd Sutton.
