Aaron Rodgers jacket

It’s a day that will live in infamy — the day in 2005 when Aaron Rodgers slid all the way to the 24th pick before the Green Bay Packers drafted the quarterback. Now you can relive it whenever you want!

That is, if you buy the jacket Rodgers wore on draft day. It’s being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions and the winning bid is a mere $1,300 as of this posting.

Got an extra $2,000 laying around? Money well spent!

Here’s the description.

2005 Aaron Rodgers Draft Day Worn Suit Coat. The luckiest, or unluckiest piece in our auction, depending on your point of view, here we present Aaron Rodgers’ famed pinstriped suit coat he wore while in attendance at the 2005 draft. Arguably the biggest story of the 2005 NFL Draft came when the star quarterback out of Cal slipped to the 24th pick despite being widely projected to have been pick No. 1 overall. And to top it all off, the team that picked him, the Green Bay Packers, already had a solid starter in future Hall of Famer Brett Favre, so at the time this blazer had a bitter sweet significance in Rodgers’ eyes.

When you get this jacket you can do all kinds of cool things. Why not build your own NFL draft green room in your garage and then sit there pretending you’re Rodgers and act uncomfortable as a bunch of guys get drafted before you?

Or you could rewrite history and pretend the 49ers took you with the No. 1 overall pick instead of Alex Smith!

You could go to bars wearing the jacket and hit on chicks with lines like, “Hey, I’m Aaron Rodgers from 2005. Let’s bang.”

If you’re married, you can wear it while you’re plowing your wife and yell out, “Call me Aaron!”

The possibilities are really endless here.

You should know that this jacket was originally found on a Goodwill rack in Green Bay though, so it probably still has that funky thrift store smell.

AR was just straight up shit out of luck that day. First he gets to sit and stew like some tough chicken, then he can’t even buy a “d” for his coat. Damn.
