It is going to be interesting to see how this settles out in terms of what team, what role, how much and how long.

Something tells me that CW still has some gas in the tank and now he has something to prove. But, with apologies to Dennis Miller, that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Will this be one of those deals where at the end of the season we find TT changing the shit-stained sheets on his bed, or do we find him lighting a big stogie using a $100 bill taken from the pile of them he saved by letting CW walk?

I also agree that the Giants are clearly a contender, though I disagree that their roster is better than the Packers or that they are “built for the playoffs” whatever that is supposed to mean.

I have a hard time seeing Woodson on a contender. I think his best bet is a rebuilding team that could use his leadership.

Giants won 2 Super bowls in recent years, so I think that qualifies them as a “contender”…more so than our beloved Packers. They still have a better roster than we do overall because they’re built for the playoffs–do we need more beat downs by them as evidence? They went 9-7 last year because their players clearly did not play with the same urgency and heart that won them two titles in recent memory. They underachieved but they are better, roster wise, than us. We do have the better, lowered paid QB though.
