I’dve put Ball behind Fredrick for the “Cheesehead feel good factor”, …I bet it would’ve carried some weight. Not our forte anyway. Backs are generally as good as their O-line (with a few exceptions), and ours ain’t “all that”. Keep churning out the receivers.

I would be surprised if the Packers choose a running back in the first two rounds, and VERY surprised if they spend their first pick on Lacy. The offense didn’t lose the packers any games last year. The talent in the defensive front seven is very thin, and I’d look for Thompson to look first to defensive linemen or outside linebackers. At pick 26, they should have some solid options, especially at DL.

Love the idea of drafting lacy in the first. People don’t understand theres a deep pool of talent for dline n oline. It’s time green bay gets a real deal RB to make something happen on the ground n help rodgers out.

I agree with many of you on here, get linemen in the later rounds as there is more value in other positions in 1 and 2. How many snaps did Lacy drop back to block? Does anyone really think Dujuan can move the pile and be an every down back with his size?

we do not need to keep drafting OL in the 1st round 2 out of the last 3 years is enough, You guys didn’t like what you saw from Barclay? who will you replace? Newhouse, well who in the draft is going to do better than Newhouse? I know #12 is the walk on water in a lot of peoples eyes, but christ man throw the fucking ball away once and a while! Lacy is a no brainer pick at 26 we’ve passed on Shady Mccoy among numerous others late in round one for what? TAKE AN IMPACT RUNNING BACK! I’m so fucking sick and tired of practice squad running backs being touted as great by these retarded fans.

Last year the Pack’s o line was rated 29th in rush blocking.It also gave up more than 50 sacks.I also recall the packers giving up an NFL record for rushing yards against SF.How about we go big body before putting stock into an unproven rb.This article is stupid. Nowhere does it explain why Lacy is good or does it say anything about him. I don’t care if he ran for 1300 tds for the best team. Frigin bloggers!!!

I know a lot of fans want to go OL in the first but I don’t see value being there. I mean I was fully against Jones in the first while every1 else wanted him so bad. Now it looks as if he could be available in the 2nd. I just don’t like taking a Center that high especially not a great Center(Which I don’t think Jones will be).
I was all for Jonathan Cooper but he raised way up boards.
Really the only other player I see with a first rd grade is Fluker and if your goal is to keep Rodgers upright he wouldn’t be a good pick.
All that being said this is a great year to take Interior lineman in the mid rds. They could grab some1 like Quessenberry or Schwenke if available in the third and get better value than Jones in the 2nd.

Most likely the BPA will be a safety, RB, WR, TE, or ILB at the end of the first. Obviously I have no clue what TT thinks about some of those fringe players or any GM for that matter but all those positions are stacked from late first through the third.

Maybe getting his tackles back will help this. Not to mention a quality RB would certainly do this. Or maybe MM could ask him not to hold onto the ball so long(He was credited with more sacks taken than any Packers OLineman). I’m curious though who would you take at the end of the first that could keep Rodgers off his back?

Ask yourself this…When was the last time the Pack drafted a skill-position player (QB, RB, WR) not named Aaron Rodgers in the 1st round???

I had to think about it, then look it up.
It was Javon Walker in 2002, (11 seasons ago)…& before that, Darrell Thompson in 1990 (23 seasons ago)…& before that it was Sterling Sharpe in 1988.
