Packers vs. Bears

The Green Bay Packers play four division winners in 2013. They also play in a division with two 10-win teams.

That’s given them the sixth-toughest schedule going into the 2013 season. Their opponents were a combined¬†136-119-1 in 2012, for a winning percentage of .533.

The Carolina Panthers have the toughest schedule, facing opponents with a combined winning percentage of .543. The Detroit Lions are second and tied with St. Louis and New Orleans at .539.

Unlike the Packers, the Lions don’t have the Detroit Lions bringing down their opponents’ combined strength of schedule.

The Broncos have the easiest schedule, a benefit of playing in the worst division in probably any professional sport. Their opponents’ winning percentage is .430. Not surprisingly, the AFC West teams occupy four of the bottom five spots in strength of schedule.

The Broncos will surely breeze through the regular season in 2013 and then crap the bed in the playoffs again.

In the NFC North, the Chicago Bears have the easiest road. Their opponents have a combined winning percentage of .502. The Minnesota Vikings opponents’ winning percentage is .516.
