We joked that soon-to-be former Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings was spending Super Bowl week looking for a new team. Well, it turns out he kind of was and the Miami Dolphins appear to be his No. 1 target.
Former Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is currently the Dolphins coach and Jennings seemed to have a not-too-subtle message for him.
Jennings joined The Finsiders, the Dolphins’ team-owned radio/web TV show, on Friday at the Super Bowl media center. He looked right at the camera and had a message for Philbin:
“Joe, how you doing. Remember me?” he said with a smile.
Jennings, who will be a free agent in March, went on to say he’s ready to move on.
“I’ve prepared my family for change,” he said. “Wherever I end up, if it’s outside of Green Bay, we’re ready to be great wherever we go.”
It’s become pretty obvious that Jennings’ years in Green Bay are over. When we looked at potential destinations for him, Miami was at the top of that list.
Now it seems that they’re the clear-cut No. 1.
