Wow..this is a Packers only website. I’ll never visit again after my post. Donald Driver work his butt off for this team and has his entire career. He deserves to be out there and he CAN stil cath a ball and be a threat. People idolize Ray Lewis on the Ravens and he doesn’t sound like such a terrific man from his murky past. With the NFL such a big business it’s nice to have some nice guy get some respect he so deserves. Whoever wrote this pathetic article isn’t a TRUE Packer fan. He sounds more like a Viking’s fan to tell the truth.

By activating Manning last week, coach Mike McCarthy bypassed veterans such as outside linebacker Frank Zombo and receiver Donald Driver. Those pining for Driver, the team’s all-time leading receiver, to be active, should consider the possibility that if he had been, perhaps Manning might not have been on the field for those key special teams plays.

“Those are very difficult decisions to make when you have a healthy 53(-man roster) to get to 46,” McCarthy said. “When you put the emphasis on special teams and you have a young man like Terrell Manning that gets his opportunity, and he wins a game ball on special teams and also has the big hit award, that’s why you have to make those kind of decisions.”

Now if I remember correctly.. we didn’t even get any points off that turnover. Admittedly that was in the 4th quarter with the offense already well into “shutdown” mode.

If you look at the stats compared to other former elite WR, this is a common tale, people just have to get used to the idea—or not, it doesn’t matter, they really don’t give a fuck what the public thinks. Remember clamoring for Mason Crosby’s replacement? Or how about Marshawn Lynch when Grant went down a few years back? Yeah, they are not doing anything of the sort. Even though clearly the fans had a pt. with both Crosby competition (Longwell now with Seattle) and with Lynch—A beast!
