Packers Think James Starks Will Return
Word on the street was the Green Bay Packers would be without James Starks for the remainder of the year. Word on the street may have been wrong.
Coach Mike McCarthy said the Packers are hoping Starks can return for the playoffs.
“Definitely,” coach McCarthy said. “That’s what the medical staff is telling me. Starks’ situation is to hopefully get him back for the playoffs. That was a decision that was made a few weeks ago.”
Starks, who’s dealing with a knee injury, hasn’t been a huge factor, but the Packers can definitely use him for the playoffs. Starks has only 255 yards this season, but he was a boss during the Packers 2010 Super Bowl run.
The only question is, what will Starks’ role be when he returns?
Alex Green has taken back the starting job and DuJuan Harris has emerged. Ryan Grant is also in the mix.
Starks will probably be part of the committee, but McCarthy is likely to go with the hot hand.
