Willie Young’s Finger Symbolic of Detroit Lions’ Season
The first time the Detroit Lions met the Green Bay Packers this season, Lions defensive end Willie Young busted up his finger pretty good while tackling James Starks.
If you’re thinking Larry McCarren-like my-finger-now-goes-sideways busted up, think again. Young gashed the middle finger on his left hand to the bone. He also suffered torn ligaments and nerve damage, which made him consider amputation.
