You went 15-1 with Marshall Newhouse as your left tackle. He has been playing fine. Osi Umenyora will make even the top LTs look bad from time to time.

In the words of Phil Jackson, “Give them some fuckin credit.”

Sherrod and Bulaga will both be back next year. You sit Sherrod for the remainder of this year because he is a second year player, and you don’t want to rush him back and risk his long term health.

Other than addressing the center position, I don’t see the Packers doing squat with this offensive line.

What might be the better question that people are not asking is why not let Barclay play RT and put TJ Lang back where he belongs at LG? At least that way, you only have an issue at one spot instead of two. If Barclay needs help, you give it to him, and let the rest of the OL play.

This is why its time to make a splash in free agency at left tackle. Last year Sherrod could not crack the starting lineup. Once he got playing time, this was a God awful injury. Now he will have the better part of 2 years since he has played a down of football. Nothing against him personally, but its a stretch that he will ever become the bookend left tackle we had hoped for. And we don’t have the time to find out.
Plain and simple, Rodgers is the franchise on offense. You need to insure him with the most important position on the o-line, left tackle.
I agree with drafting some o-line as well. But we don’t have the time to develop the only position where we are at our worst.

He cant be much worse than whats out there now, especially when the only backups are undrafted rookies. If they are yhat bad that they dont warrant a shot in the lineup, why are they your only backups
