It’s a New Day After Packers Bye
Things are looking an awful lot different for the Green Bay Packers coming out of their bye week.
The team had a week to rest and hopefully heal some of their injuries, but that’s not the biggest development for the Packers. In the NFL’s Sunday night game, the Houston Texans beat the Chicago Bears 13-6 to drop the Bears to 7-2.
That’s one game ahead of the Packers, who beat the Bears earlier this season. The most interesting thing in that game was quarterback Jay Cutler leaving with a concussion at halftime. When did he even get hurt? No one seems to know, but Cutler didn’t return and Jason Campbell didn’t move the Bears offense.
If Cutler misses an extended amount of time, which seems possible considering this is like his sixth concussion, the Bears could find themselves in second place in the NFC North pretty soon.
Meanwhile, in the consolation bracket, the Minnesota Vikings beat the Detroit Lions 34-24, which tells us one thing. The Lions suck pretty bad.
The Vikings, meanwhile, somehow have the same number of wins as the Packers at six.
In addition to the Bears, the Packers are now only looking up to the Falcons, who lost to the Saints on Sunday, and the 49ers, who are 6-2-1 after a tie with St. Louis.
Green Bay faces Detroit on Sunday.
