You’re probably saying to yourself, who the hell is Brett Goode? He’s the Green Bay Packers long snapper and now he has a new contract.
Yes!
The Packers signed Goode to a three-year, $2.715 million contract extension. That’s nearly $1 million per season for a guy who’s on the field about 10 times per game.
“Brett would have been an unrestricted free agent after the season and the Packers approached us about an extension,” Goode’s agent, Kevin Gold, said. “They recently locked up their kicker [Mason Crosby] and punter [Tim Masthay] and Brett really wanted to stay, so we were able to reach a new deal through 2015 that made sense for both sides.”
So now you won’t have to worry about who will be snapping the ball to TIm Masthay until at least 2016.
Really takes a load off.
