Greg Jennings injured

No, no. We’re not talking about the very real possibility that Greg Jennings and the Green Bay Packers part ways after the season. Nor are we referring to what we think are pretty much idiotic rumblings that Jennings could be traded during the season (yeah, I’ll take your injured receiver who doesn’t have a contract after this year!). We’re talking about the fact that Greg Jennings is a broken man.

Not broken like his old lady just left him and took his dog. Broken as in he’s been standing on the sideline more than he’s been on the field. You see, Jennings is suddenly injury prone. Like Justin Harrell.

The Packers have already ruled Jennings out of this weekend’s game. It will be the second game he’s missed this season. Jennings hasn’t finished a game this season either.

Jennings has a lingering groin injury. Instead of letting him get just healthy enough to play and then Jennings going out and tweaking the injury, the Packers have finally decided to shut him down until he’s fully healed.

How long will that be? Hard to say, but the only place it really matters is in your fantasy league, where you probably spent a second-round draft pick on Jennings.

What are we doing? Trashing the Packers No. 1 receiver?

Well… Jennings only has 12 catches for 78 yards this season. In fact, his Old Spice commercials are far more entertaining than watching Greg Jennings playing football.

In the meantime, Jordy Nelson has stepped up with 21 for 260, James Jones has 16 for 191 and Randall Cobb has 18 for 162.

In other words, this isn’t really that big of a deal for the Packers.

It’s a big deal for your fantasy team and a big deal for Greg Jennings, who hasn’t shown much so far in his contract year.
