I regularly peruse team blogpost pages to get a feel for fan assessment (of teams) & must admit, this article is the best (& most impartial) yet. MNF penalty calling was atrocious (as was SNF). By my count, phantom & no-calls is directly responsible for 16 of the points put on the scoreboard during MNF. Seattle gets 7 pts, GB gets 9 pts (potentially 11) & Christmas merchandise is already on the shelves. It’s refreshing to see fans assess their own teams transgressions as well! Yes, the ref thing needs to be resolved to restore some measure of integrity to the game.

In support of the Packers, I am boycotting not only the NFL, but their “proud” sponsors. I have notified Coors/Miller, Pepsi, Budweiser and others that I will not purchase any of their products in response to the travesty that was Monday Night Football. If Roger Goodell, the regular NFL refs and the lingerie refs have so little integrity, and openly disrespect the fans, then they don’t deserve my business. I’ll take my time and money elsewhere.

It probably won’t make a difference but I’m with you, I am personally boycotting the NFL, no watching games on tv or otherwise, no buying merchandise, no checking sports sites (aside from here) until the real refs are brought back. I’m sick of watching what basically amounts to a game of make-believe football where the rules are made up and broken on the fly. No integrity, no legitimacy, I’m done with it.

Even if you watch the game, if we all quit buying their shirts, hats and other products they would feel the hit. I know its hard not to watch your favorite team, but this we could do. As long as we take it, the NFL will keep giving it out. They remind me of the politicians in Washington, treating us like fucking sheep.
