Packers Video Board Fail
Reader Cliff Ellsworth sent this photo from the Green Bay Packers home opener our way.
Obviously, he was trying to catch the flyover which took place at the end of the national anthem. He also caught something else. Notice anything amiss in the photo?
Apparently, there’s a question as to whether America is still the home of the brave.

There’s nothing wrong with the lyrics… The first verse of the Nation Anthem ends in the question “O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?” DUH!

This is great! USA isn’t the home of the brave, it’s now the home of a bunch of weak-kneed republicrat cult members who will believe whatever the gov. tells em’ who will do what they are told, even if it’s by a fat pedophile working for the TSA.

Actually, that is how the national anthem is written. The words are from a poem and the last line is a question.
The question isn’t referring to if the US is the home of the brave, but if the flag still flies over it (it being For McHenry during the War of 1812)
“Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

I believe that Mr. Ellsworth is equally as guilty…as he sent it in thinking it was incorrect.
Is that bunch of people watching from the top of the luxury boxes under the video board?

You’ve been singing the song all your life and never once pondered the meaning of the words?
Now, go get your shine box.

The National Anthem was written 1812 when people spoke like a bunch of old farmers. Who the fuck says “o’er” and “oh say” like an old goat farmer anymore. Maybe a 90 year old. Everyone has memorized the song over the years. Maybe Leon can put his pitchfork down next to his squeeze box and explain the meaning of the National Anthem.

Pack Lethal,
I suppose I could explain the National Anthem to you but I doubt you’d understand it. Too many big words like “oh say.”
But I can think of a place to put the pitchfork.
