wrong…we won the SUPERBOWL that season!!! Hello?!?! Even i player not on that roster could have changed the whole space-time continuem…We would have had to trade A.J. Hawk and very well may not of won it all…
Besides, with Bishop done for the year, we need Hawk.

Oh, was Lynch a free agent in ’10? Wait, he wasn’t.

If we had traded for Lynch, we would still be in this same boat. He would be gone to free agency, and we would be looking for another back. We never would have resigned him. This offense isn’t about to sink big bucks into a RB when it has at least 2 WRs and a TE to pay big bucks to.

I guess you think you would be NFL Executive of the Year twice too. Let’s talk about ego.

I like it. I dont buy into the off field concerns that much either….the franchise culture in GB and Cincy are day & night…..MM is not Marvin Lewis. If they can get Wood to conform they can get Benson to fall in line too. This is a major get that gives us a workhorse RB who runs well in between the tackles & in short yardage. It also ugrades our redzone offense in a major way. Now we can still go 3 wide down there & have a guy who can break tackles w/decent speed instead of that God awful double tight Kuhn up the gut play that works 50% of the time. But…as somebody already said & I totally agree…we shouldve gotten Lynch two yrs ago. THAT was the best upgrade available and we retardedly passed.

Benson was still on the market because he demanded a long term contract. It should be interesting to see what the Packers give him. But I think it’s a good move. With Grant they know exactly what they are getting, and it’s not much.

I know fantasy fb has nothing to do with reality-its all about luck when you pick; however….

When Grant got hurt in 2010, Benson was my back up in fantasy. Turned out to be a pretty good one-and-done fantasy season for me. (haven’t played before or since; kicked ass on the first try & never played again).

Some people believe that there is no such thing as coincidence….
