way, way, way too early for any of this. how can you say, after a single preseason game – the first one, at that – that we “failed” to get an impact player or that there is a “failure” to find a serviceable LT replacement?

the preseason isnt about putting your best line-up out there, its about evaluating talent. they started herb taylor to see what hes got. if this were a regular season game, lang would move to LT and EDS would be LG (and that’s pretending that newhouse and sherrod both die or something), and there you go, no problem. ingram made a few plays and truly did look pretty good, but again, this is preseason, against non-starters almost the whole game. youre seriously making “‘failure” statements after the first preseason game?

is rodgers gonna blow too? cuz now that i think of it, he looked like shit too. he threw like 4 balls completely out of bounds to people that werent even in the game. maybe they will go 0-16 after all…

You can find a good WR in any draft, in any year. No need to over value this position. They needed an impact guy like Melvin Ingram and failed to get him. They also should trade for a servicable LT since they’ve failed to find an heir apparent to Cliffy. Newhouse is OK.

“The Packers gave him a raise to keep him”. I’ll say it again–if I guy really wants to play, not just practice, he’ll go anywhere for any money for a chance to do so; a chance to make his mark.

I’m not buying that this is a big loss.

The price of keeping Driver. I hope we don’t regret that move in a couple years when we don’t have as much depth and Gurley is playing somewhere else.
