exactly…he never said they were perfect or that they didn’t know what their strengths or areas of improvement could have been, but was referencing the minimization of any potential problem areas – particularly, enthusiasm and effort.

I have to disagree with the part about ‘masking’ some of the things wrong with the team…there was no mistaking what the strengths and weaknesses of this team were a season ago. Even for the casual fan it was easy to see what they excelled at and what they lacked.

Their defense was a little below average in points allowed, above average, to the say the least, in turnovers created. . .. and above average in point differential.
