Driver was pretty clutch on third downs lats year. And if I recall correctly, he was about the only receiver that could catch a pass in the playoff game against Giants. I wouldn’t count him out yet.

I seem to remember when it counted DD was there to make crucial catches, especially in the NYG debacle, he was the only receiver to show up that day.

I think the thing you have to be worrying about are all the other big contracts coming down the pipe: Greg, Arodg, Claymaker, Raji

DD isn’t like some other “big mouthed give me all the attention WR”, even if he has a superb year, he won’t go out like a some other looney players. He’ll go out with class and respect.

ted thompson and co. have proven to be effective at identifying good talent at the WR position. even if one of them is gone, someone else will emerge from next year’s draft class or undrafted FA class.

TT has shown no lack of ability to find talented young WRs. Anyone we lose can be replaced.

About the only thing that can’t be replaced is DD’s experience and attitude.

If Gurley or Borel aren’t good enough to be the 6th WR on the team, then I’m not going to lose sleep over them taking the train.

DD is a professional and I hope he doesn’t pull any Favre BS after this up coming season. He should play this year and gracefully retire because there is a spot in the Packers HOF for him once he does.
