The whole “killer instinct,” “in-the-clutch” BS is all a bunch of nonsense that gives the media something to talk about. A basket in the first minute counts just as much as a basket in the last. A HR in the first inning counts just as much as a HR in the last. A TD in the 1st quarter counts just as much as one scored in the final seconds.

I seem to remember LBJ single-handedly beating the Knicks in the playoffs as a member of the Cavs. I also seem to remember LBJ hitting a 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat Orlando in that same playoffs.

I also have seen Kobe take the final shot in plenty of playoff games, including this year, and MISS. Its the old adage, if you take enough, you will make some.
