You are talking about him like he is Adrian Peterson. Yes we will see him 2 times a year and he will get a total of 20-30 carries in those 2 times. If we are going to lose to Detroit it's going to be at the hands of megatron not grant. He was good-decent in green bay while he was there and served his purpose well. Now he is not worth the pay I much rather them invest in their youth. Strarks is going to have an actual off season so you will see a lot more progress there and don't forget about their other 2 young guys. I think the pack will be just fine replacing grants 10-15 carries.

None of the backs we have on our roster are as good as Grant, I don't care what any of you say. But the Packers brass seem content to move on w/o him and now will get to see him at least twice next year. Maybe he won't have much in the tank, then again, maybe he will. A lot of fans called for a trade for Marshawn Lynch a couple of years ago when Grant went down with injury, that seems to have worked out very well for the Seahawks. It just goes to show that fans input is not always wrong. The fans who say 'we don't need him' and he's regressed too much, may not have paid much attention the last month of the regular season when he seemed to return to form and avg more than 4 yd per carry, plus a # of catches. Biggest loss about him is his veteran presence and leadership abilities--that's not as easy to replace.

I think the Packers REALLY like Saine and plan to use him lot more due to his speed andpass catching abilities. Starks can remain the bust thru the line guy. They may keep one of the undrafted FA RBs too to double as a RB/FB rather than carrying just one FB on the roster. It would save money.

I feel that Grant is expendable. Starks had a "bad" year, so what of it. Grant was also clearly slowing down, and hes only getting older.

watch him shred our defense this year. Either way, at the most, we need the "threat" of a run, with a level of consistency. In the RB by committee style we employ, he is not a necessity.

Grant was slow, you could see it when compared to a healthy or semi healthy Starks. He had no burst and ran through the hole like a full back. I'm fine with GB not resigning him I think Starks and Saine will be a good combo.
