Wells and Jones are both more valuable in our system than they would be for someone else.

Looks like the Packers were right in letting Wells test the market.

Reggie Wayne is a much better WR than Vincent Jackson. Wayne actually runs routes. Jackson runs two routes: the fly and the deep post.

These big contracts for WRs are nuts, including the contracts for CJ and DeSean Jackson. Having one great WR gets you nowhere (the Lions were 0-16 WITH CJ). It is all about having a great WR core, which takes at least 2 or 3 good WRs. How does it make sense to spend a tenth of your salary cap on one WR?

Based off these contracts, I start considering letting Jennings go after this season.

what is puzzling to me is how people say the Pack is the deepest and most talented team, yet no one seems to want our guys. James Jones basically had no takers for him last year. This year, sure the whole Peyton Manning thing is messing with the cap and putting guys like Flynn on hold. Yet you’d think someone would be interested? Thank God we didn’t franchise him as some people thought we should.

Wells smells like James Jones all over again. I am betting we get him back on the cheap.

If that’s the going rate, the Packers are going to wind up using all of next years cap space on AR, CM3 and GJ.
