Favre’s Twitter Account Hacked!
It seemed too good to be true and as it turns out, it was. Just as soon as we made fun of all the hokey tweets on Brett Favre‘s Twitter account, his people came out with a press release saying it was hacked.
The story goes something like this. Favre appears on Twitter last week, the account gets verified by Twitter, activity and stupidity increase in week two (neither of which surprises us), the Favre camp says the account was hacked on March 5.
At this time neither Mr. Favre or ourselves have any idea who is tweeting for him on his account. It is most certainly NOT him or anyone he is associated with. From Friday evening until Sunday night last weekend this account was the actual Brett Favre Twitter page, and was the actual Brett Favre, himself tweeting. The last REAL tweet from Brett was to Russell Wilson Sunday evening. Anything after this was an imposter that somehow gained access to his account and began posting bogus tweets. Once again we apologize, and if any news comes up surrounding this disaster we will inform you all immediately.
You guys are brilliant. What was your password, 1234abcd?
All those people who supposedly got a shout-out tweet from Favre must be crushed. The Favre impostor shut things down Thursday night and signed out with this message.

Imposter can’t even spell Brett’s name correctly–it’s Favre, not Farve

Shit, if that had been me I’d have tweeted I was coming back. Like clockwork ESPN prematurely picks that up, and hot damn, free agency just got a whole lot more interesting. Even if only for a day or two.

I think it really was Favre, and now he is trying to cover for his stupidity. He probably intentionally misspelled his name too to further the decoy.
