Sherrod Done For Season

The Green Bay Packers will be without their first-round draft choice for the remainder of the season, which could further complicate the situation along their beat-up offensive line.

Derek Sherrod broke his leg in Sunday’s loss to Kansas City while filling in at right tackle for Bryan Bulaga, who was injured earlier in the game.

“He was screaming a little bit so I was just trying to get the medical guys,” left tackle Marshall Newhouse said. “You never want to see that happen but it’s part of it. Guys go down every day. I’m praying for him absolutely.”

Bulaga sprained the same knee he hurt earlier in the season. With both players out, T.J. Lang moved to right tackle and Evan Dietrich-Smith took over at left guard.

Dietrich-Smith in particular was a weak link. The Chiefs sacked Aaron Rodgers four times on Sunday and the Packers may have to adjust their game plan to keep him upright the final two weeks of the season while their offensive line heals.

Our offensive line will be a nice balance with our defensive line – average at best and high school at worst.

Of course he is out. His leg snapped like a popsicle stick.

Watching that replay made me realize that I would NEVER want to play pro football.

Lets not only hope Clifton comes back but also that he is in pro form when/if he does. Makes me nervous to look forward towards a guy whose had his strong and weak games come as a product of age. Best wishes for Sherrod though, full strength next season and a little bit of a chip could help him crack the starting lineup. Now the question is, do we sit starters of our rhythm based offense for up to 4 weeks?

WELLS AND LANG have been the most consistent all year and need to be side-by-side for the line to have a chance.

Check out this line Left to Right
Newhouse (Clifton if healthy), Lang, Wells, Sitton, Dominguez

    Get ‘er done!

Vijay….Lang is being moved to right tackle…..Dominguez?….tell me that after you see him play?…..Remember preseason?…against back ups?….he’s horrible.

Its Newhouse, EDS,Wells,Sitton,J T Lang….and if someone gets hurt…its….ALL OVER for Rodgers. It maybe anyway….Sorry for the neg….just keepin it real.

Play calling was a bit arrogant Sunday after two T went out … Use TE to chip block, move the pocket with a qb that can move, and run fuckin screens till the cows come home! Line is plenty good… Don’t need a HR shot on every possession!

  8. Apeshit

Line didn’t lose the game asswipe… Drops arrogant play calling a qb who hangs on to the ball too long and runs into Hali and a d who have up 13 fucking second goddam down conversions were all far more contributing factors.
