Really. Big surprise the Scumbags, I mean, Vikings lead the league in arrests. After cornerback Chris Cook got picked up for allegedly strangling his woman over the weekend, the Vikings have 36 arrests since 2000, which is one more than the Cincinnati Bengals.
Here’s the list of distinguished individuals (you can see all NFL arrests here).
- Chris Cook — Arrested on charge of domestic assault.
- Tyrell Johnson — Arrested on suspicion of DUI. Preliminary breath test measured B.A.C. at 0.12.
- Rhett Bomar — Arrested in Mankato, Minn., charged with drunken driving.
- Chris Cook — Arrested in Virginia on suspicion of brandishing gun during fight.
- Everson Griffen — Arrested on suspicion of felony battery. He allegedly assaulted police officer near USC campus.
- Everson Griffen — Arrested and charged with public intoxication in Hollywood.
- Cedric Griffin — Arrested, charged with DUI.
- Bryant McKinnie — Arrested and charged with aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after street brawl outside Miami club.
- Darrion Scott — Cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession, failure to signal during traffic stop in Charleston, W. Va.
- Dwight Smith — Cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession after traffic stop.
- Ronyell Whitaker — Arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrant for reckless driving. But police were mistaken.
- Cedric Griffin — Arrested on disorderly conduct charge in Minneapolis after allegedly being thrown out of nightclub for having his pants sag too low.
- Travis Taylor — Arrested just after 3 a.m. outside a Minneapolis nightclub. Taylor was charged with three misdemeanors: fifth-degree assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
- Dwight Smith — Arrested on charges of indecent conduct in downtown Minneapolis.
- Koren Robinson — Arrested and charged with fleeing from police, a felony, along with two DWI charges and three other misdemeanors. Also ticketed for driving without valid license Aug. 10.
- Daunte Culpepper — One of four Vikings charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or lascivious conduct on a party boat Oct. 6.
- Bryant McKinnie — One of four Vikings charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or lascivious conduct on a party boat Oct. 6.
- Fred Smoot — One of four Vikings charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or lascivious conduct on a party boat Oct. 6.
- Moe Williams — One of four Vikings charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or lascivious conduct on a party boat Oct. 6.
- Marcus Johnson — Charged with disorderly conduct after scuffle at gas station/deli.
- Bryant McKinnie — Charged with disorderly conduct after scuffle at gas station/deli.
- Kevin Williams — Arrested and charged with misdemeanor fifth-degree domestic assault after altercation involving wife.
- Kelly Campbell — Arrested on weapons and drug charges near the Georgia Dome after traffic stop. Campbell is charged with possession of marijuana and theft by receiving stolen property.
- E.J. Henderson — Three Vikings players were arrested after a fight outside a downtown Minneapolis bar.
