Hawk Apologizes For Flipping The Bird
Apparently, we were too busy pounding whiskey to have noticed Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk flip the bird to someone on the sideline after making a sack in the third quarter Sunday.
After the game, he apologized for the incident and said it was a joke between some of his teammates.
“I guess it was on TV,” Hawk said in the locker room after the game. “I definitely wasn’t mad or upset with anybody. It was kind of a running joke with a couple of my teammates. I got caught up in the emotion of the game.
“Sometimes you forget that it’s on TV. I definitely want to apologize to anyone who’s kids were watching and got offended or anything. I understand. I’m sorry that got out there.”
“I don’t get a whole lot of sacks, so I was excited,” Hawk said. “I just got up and it happened. Like I said, I apologize, but I didn’t really think about it at the time. A lot of times I get stuck in that game mode and don’t really worry about who’s around me or the team or the fans.”
Hawk wouldn’t divulge what the joke was about or who the teammates were, so feel free to speculate about what was going on or whether Hawk is even telling the truth.
The league is expected to fine Hawk for the gesture.

If Hawk keeps getting sacks, then he can flip us all off. Someone has to be getting them.

Nice to see Hawk with some animation. If this is the first time someone’s seen a 27 year old flip someone off, whether in fun or anger, they need to head back to the cave they came out of.
Talk about something out of nothing.
