Sadly, Clifton’s career with the Packers (and most likely the NFL) is probably over. But maybe he’ll be healthy in time for the playoffs. That’s right, I said it. Play-offs.

I’m pretty sure any of the choices will work just fine with some practice. I am more concerned with the general depth of the position. With Clifton out, Sherrod is the only remaining quality backup for the whole line. Evan Dietrich-Smith could possibly replace someone in the event of multiple injuries but not likely. I think it wouldn’t hurt to bring someone in from a practice squad for a worst case scenario. Or make finley a lineman since he cant catch the damn ball!! jk haha your great J mic.

Bulaga seems better suited for right tackle, which is more of a power position than left. If that is where he is going to be full time, then you leave him there.

Personally, the future is now and I’d like to see Sherrod at left tackle, BUT, if Newhouse is the better player right now, then that is too important a position to have anyone but the best filling it.

No disrespect to Clifton as he’s had a great career, and maybe he comes back, BUT….he’s looked awful this year. Run and pass blocking – he just finally looks old and slow hate to say it. I watched him get blown up against Chicago on a run play that could have gained 10 yds. Throw the youngsters in there and let ‘em take their lumps now, and by playoffs they’ll be fine.

I think Bulaga should stay on the right side because he is the right tackle of our future and i think Sherrod should start at LT because he is the left tackle of the future.

Get the better athlete, more experience thinking but having Bulaga strong on AR’s roll/escape side might make life a bit easier for him.

But that’s why MM makes $5M and gets to make those calls, right?
