As far as Mathews, i think he still gives all out effort, same speed, but he gets stacked up more and immobilized, and by the time he could recover, the plays over, it just seems he’s lost some power, idk.

To add to a comment on a previous TiVo time, Shawn, yours is the best Packers game summary on the web and the ONLY one that I chuckle all the way through. How can it get any better? Awesome, insightful game summary and comedic relief!

Until we get in the game where the defense MUST make a stand, I’m not that worried about it. We played 2 good offensive teams, manhandled the Bears, and destroyed the Broncos. McCarthy and Capers always talk a lot about ‘adversity football’ and until we get in a spot where it’s desperate that we stop the other team….none of this really matters.

When push comes to shove we did stop the Saints when we needed to, but it was because our defense was so bad that 4th quarter that set the stage.

Again…when we had to stop the Saints in the only really crucial defensive possession of the year…we stopped them. That’s the only measure we have right now.
