The defense is looking better with each game, but the offense has to put up a full showing. I'm a little tired of the we should have won this game easily but instead are holding on for dear life at the end. This is on the offense. Rodgers needs to calm down in the pocket and not be so quick to get rid of the ball. Frankly, I wonder if this is because he is scared of getting hit because of his concussion?

Also, thank you for the comment on the holding penalty. I am tired of "hearing" people calling it a phantom holding call. Bush was held for about 5 yards and it was a good call.

Slocum's special teams unit was atrocious last year and they have continued right where they left off, minus Randall Cobb. He has proven to be completely inept as a coach and should be dismissed.

For the record, my comment about Burnett is that he might be the most "fortunate" draft pick of all time. That is considering Nick Collins' career might be over. I would never say he was the "best" pick of all time. I mean, come on.

With the length of the analysis, I again left some things out.

Ryan Grant had a good game and appears to be the better stretch play back for the Packers. His ability to cut back makes him dangerous on that play. However, when the Packers go to a more straight ahead running game, James Starks is still the better runner. Starks also is better out of the backfield and has done well in blitz pick up the last two games.

I have called for years for the NFL to change its false start rule. A flinch at the line of scrimmage gains the offense no advantage and should not be a penalty. It does nothing but add stops to a game that has too many already. Another problem is that different refs call it closer than others. These refs, obviously, called any show of movement whatsoever. Frankly, it was ridiculous. I'm not watching football to see the refs constantly stop the game over guys flinching.

Randall Cobb caught one ball: a quick screen to him that he took for 19 yards. This is the exact play that I was hoping the Packers would use Cobb on. Considering its success, I hope it is run more often.
