Younger Matthews Gets Starting Nod In Philadelphia
Casey Matthews, a fourth-round draft pick and Clay’s younger brother, is in a good position to start at middle linebacker for the [intlink id="374" type="category"]Philadelphia Eagles[/intlink].
Matthews was listed as the starter on the Eagles first depth chart, which was released today. He’s been with the first-team defense since camp opened.
Although nothing is written in stone, Matthews’ chances of remaining the starter look solid. Greg Lloyd and Brandon Peguese are the second- and third-team middle linebackers.
Lloyd is a seventh-round draft pick and Peguese was signed as an undrafted free agent.

I think Ted would have taken him in the 5th round.
He just didn’t value him at 4th round… even if the Iggles hadn’t taken him first already.

Gee, I hope they haven’t made the same mistake they did with Sterling’s brother Shannon.
