Barnett Signs With Bills
Barnett did fairly well for himself, at least financially.
After getting sniffed at by the [intlink id="126" type="category"]Detroit Lions[/intlink] over the weekend, former Green Bay Packers linebacker [intlink id="139" type="category"]Nick Barnett[/intlink] has agreed to a three-year contract with the [intlink id="509" type="category"]Buffalo Bills[/intlink].
The deal is for $12 million, with $6 million guaranteed.
Financially, Barnett made out pretty nicely after being released by the Packers last Thursday.
Obviously, Barnett’s choice of teams was primarily about money. The Bills haven’t won anything since Thurman Thomas was slashing defenses in Tecmo Super Bowl and their run defense is one of the worst in the league.
The other thing Barnett gets in Buffalo is a chance to be the man again and we all know his ego requires that.
The Bills lost their best linebacker, Paul Posluszny, to the [intlink id="281" type="category"]Jacksonville Jaguars[/intlink] last week. If Barnett can stay healthy he’ll have plenty of opportunities to make tackles with the Bills.
