Funny thing is…There doesnt seem to be any “buzz” over JJ around the league. Which is fine with me, i’d like to keep him. But Aaron..The louder you build this guy up, the more people might listen to you, zip it..maybe he’ll stay at a discount. This guy made the greatest catches ive seen, he’s fast, can run after the catch, strong….misses the lob passes at the #’s…so what…lets keep him.

Great effin call- Troy Aikman after Jones dropped the sure TD before halftime against Philly- “Aaron Rodgers couldn’t have delivered the ball any better if he had walked out there and handed it to him.”

I would love for Jones to stick around. It will all depend on the price. Fortunately, he made enough mistakes in big games to scare a lot of teams off.

Jones was the first WR that A-Rodge had any chemistry with. He should stick up for his boy. I don’t think his comments do anything to raise interest in other teams. They were already interested by now, or they aren’t.

It would be funny if running him out of town by driving up his price was his end game here. He has a lot of upside – minus the drops – but we will be fine without him. I for one am tired of seeing Aaron swing towards the backfield with his hands on the back of his helmet wondering why the pass he just threw didn’t make it to the house.

Totally agree with everyone’s sentiments here. I love ARodge and there’s nothing wrong with going to bat for a teammate, but his comments can’t help on any level. If anything he simply strengthens JJ’s (agent’s) position in commanding more money, which in turn lessens our chances of him coming back.

With Finley coming back, Driver and Nelson healthy, Jennings at the top of his game, and now Cobb and D.J. Williams joining the receiving corps there is no room for Jones in the equation…I love Jones (have the same exact bday as me 3/31/84) but the guy drops way too many sure TD’s and will command too high a salary to keep around! It was nice while it lasted James and best of luck for the future!

Aaron, stick to your job and let TT do his.

How many passes did you throw to him that should have been as easy as a hand-off and he dropped.

I get the he’ll improve theory,but not at #1 money from us.

You’ll always have a depth of WRs to throw to,relax and just play QB.

JJ needs to take a shitty deal and have his first complete season as a starter. With his reputation for drops being mentioned at every turn, JJ’s goal should be to get a short term deal and then CATCH THE BALL!!

Personally I think he’s gone…and should be but it’s not in his best interest to go long term with his stigma as a dropper…which is deserved.
